Flavien gillié - 60 minute cities- bruxelles

Rio Douro/Douro River, is a compilation of several aural happenings and ambiences captured during the Winter of 2012 in the Rio Douro, Portugal. During the hot months of Summer, the wild life is predominant in the soundscape, which seems to cloth everything else around. With the arrival of  Winter, life seems to slow down, and an apparent quietness invades these spaces. The fauna, the tourism, the labour in the vineyards, and even the local inhabitants seem to vanish from the landscape, as they wait for the warmer months of Spring.

If you are interested in participating, please explore this myspace in the first instance in order to establish whether your material fits, stylistically and in terms of outlook, with that of the current survey. There are two methods of participation: either with a piece of music or a short-film. On rare occasions, we may invite both. Each method also includes an image and a piece of text. General enquiries, submissions of images and text should be sent to Anthony Donovan & Jaan Patterson via mail[at]
